it's going to be a cadian infantry helmet,.. something similar to what Lt.Watts made for him self,..

Don´t think in this way....your helmet is absolutely ok...but Jans familiy have more many to spend him some special equipment at the day he join the army......in a time the regiment was formed...you enter the regiment not so long time ago...you get an standard helmet, fast done and brass is not longer available...hehe...think about an good story..and then you have the right equipment...

Actually, it's because he's a better thief. Your helmet is standard Penal Legion issue, whereas Jan has stolen his from a Cadian guardsman who wasn't looking.

This goes for all fancy wargear in this larp... You stole it!

actually it's aluminum ,. all of it,.. the "brass" part is oxidized aluminum ,.. i glued it all together with hot glue and it seams to holds out pretty well

and of course it is all stolen ,..
